“First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out because I was not a Socialist. Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out, because I was not a Trade Unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out- because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me–and there was no one left to speak for me”.

I have always been interested, and genuinely too, in the Zimbabwe situation. Something has to be done to restore the dignity, peace of mind and economic power of the ordinary folk.

Wherever we are, there is no place like home. The prospect of being able to contribute positively to the policies affecting our motherland is too good to miss.

I have been hungry for this type of project for a very long time. It is like a dream come true for me. The time for the Diaspora to make a difference has finally come.

Deep in my conscience, independence without freedom, democracy, the rule of law, freedom of expression, food, jobs and hope is nothing but a façade. A government that absolves itself from national responsibility by shifting liability and blame to foreign countries is not worth of the space it occupies. We Zimbabweans deserve better.
